Meet the Founder & Creator
Hey, I’m Theresa Chase, the creator of Moon Baby™. I began my jewelry-making journey with metalworking and stones in 2010. After a long hiatus following other pursuits, I rediscovered my love of jewelry making through textile art. Now, macramé is the cornerstone muse of my work. I bring a deep reverence for the wild beauty and magic of nature into all that I do, and this project is no exception. I draw inspiration from my love of flora and fauna, crystals, sunrises & sunsets and the like. As an avid botanical dye novice, I revel in the myriad hues that I can render from plant materials like turmeric, avocado stones, or pokeberries. It’s fascinating how different materials turn up varying gradations of color during this rewarding process. I am well-versed in astrology, with attunement to the moon and her cycles influencing the energies I work with during the creative process. I find that the finished pieces are imbued with the subtle yet powerful energy of the moon.
